Welcome to Lichen Lane

A vintage metal spice rack containing four compartments filled with red, black, pink, and white spices or glitter. Several wooden spools of thread and loose glitter are scattered around, with some spilled onto the dark surface beneath.

Welcome to Lichen Lane, my little world of handmade, fantastic creations inspired by coastal forests, ocean air, and the quiet magic of nature.

I’ve always loved making things from scratch; I even collect and grind some of the mica glitter I use! Every piece is thoughtfully crafted using natural materials and little treasures gathered from walks through Northern California’s misty, lichen-covered forests.

From acorns and seed pods to antique finds, vintage lace, and hand-mixed German glass glitters, each ornament tells a story of curiosity, craftsmanship, and care for the natural world.

Welcome to my shop of handmade, fantastic little projects. I have taught myself how to make these antique-style Spun Cotton Ornaments! I like to incorporate little finds from antique and thrift stores or from my walks in nature.
